Dermal fillers are generally very safe when administered by a qualified medical professional with a thorough understanding of facial anatomy. All risks, including rare but serious complications such as vascular occlusion, will be explained at your consultation. Shelley works only with reputable, CE-marked hyaluronic acid products and has the clinical training to manage complications should they arise.

Natural results are always the goal. Shelley takes a conservative approach and uses only what is needed to achieve your aims. She will always advise you honestly if she thinks a treatment would not suit you, or if a result you're hoping for is not achievable without an overcorrection.

Most fillers contain lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, which makes the treatment much more comfortable than people expect. A topical numbing cream can also be applied beforehand if you prefer. Most clients manage well without any additional pain relief.

Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase if you are unhappy with your result or in the event of a complication. This is one of the key safety advantages of hyaluronic acid over permanent fillers.

This varies by area and product. Lip fillers tend to last 6–12 months, cheek fillers 12–18 months, and structural areas like the jawline can last up to 18 months or longer.
